  The Southern Trust

  The Southern Trust was introduced to the concept of Find Your Field of Dreams in April 2008, and immediately saw the community benefit in supporting it. We all read the papers and listen to the news and so have a small insight into some of the issues the local community is facing with its young people.
  
  We believe that this project is going to prove invaluable in ensuring that young people in the area can engage in innovative and interesting activities. We believe the John Walker 'Find Your Field of Dreams' Foundation will work well in the Counties Manukau area and will encourage and empower youth to use their time more constructively while having fun with their peers.

  Manukau City Council

  Manukau City Council is totally committed to working with partnering organisations that share its vision for the young people of the city. It's a vision that encourages our young people to lead healthy and active lives through involvement in sport and recreation. It aims to enable them to make positive choices and dare to pursue their dreams.
  
  The council supports the Foundation because it was created to positively influence the lives of young people by providing affordable sports and recreation choices. It'll promote character development, life enhancing values, good health and community cohesion. The council believes that this important initiative will engender a sense of pride and loyalty and belonging to the city, and enhance our developing reputation as one of New Zealand's most dynamic and liveable cities.

  NZCT

  New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT) are delighted to fund the John Walker 'Find Your Field of Dreams' Foundation. The Foundation is an excellent example of the positive outcomes made to the community by NZCT. In the past year alone, we distributed over $42 million to sports and community groups. We are proud of the difference we make in the community, which we can only do with the commitment and hard work of NZCT publicans throughout New Zealand. They play an important role in helping us support the John Walker 'Find Your Field of Dreams' Foundation, and we acknowledge their hard work and dedication.

  Perry Foundation

  Sir John Walker has been an inspiration to many many New Zealanders and it came as no surprise when he vowed to use his new honour to raise money for needy children. The John Walker 'Find Your Field of Dreams' Foundation, established in early 2008, is a testament to this commitment. With its focus on youth, the Foundation is a great fit to receive funding support from Perry Foundation and our Trustees were delighted to make a significant grant to this organisation earlier this year. Perry Foundation funding is assisting with retaining the services of Counties Manukau Sport to pilot after-school sports programmes and encourage inter-school competitions in primary schools throughout Otara and Papatoetoe, engaging children in establishing habits of a lifetime.
